When and how did you discover Mautic?

My journey to the Mautic community began in 2021. I was eager to find a thriving open-source community to contribute to, which led me to Mautic. While the software itself impressed me, it was the passionate and welcoming community that truly drew me in. Their collaborative spirit and dedication to helping others resonated deeply with me, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

How are you involved with the community currently?

My current involvement with the community is primarily focused on two key areas: documentation and organizing meetups/events. For documentation, I dedicate my efforts to writing guides and updating documentation that helps users understand and effectively utilize Mautic. This involves creating comprehensive guides, updating existing documents, and ensuring that the information is accessible and user-friendly.

Also, I actively participate in organizing meetups and events. These gatherings are vital for community engagement, providing opportunities for members to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate. Through these events, we foster a sense of belonging and support within the Mautic community, encouraging both learning and networking. My role in these activities is to ensure they are well-planned, valuable, and inclusive, catering to the diverse needs and interests of our community members.

What excites you about your role on the Council? Why did you feel called to serve in this capacity?

My deep belief in open-source marketing automation, coupled with my active contributions to Mautic's documentation, has given me a unique understanding of its strengths and areas for improvement. Serving on the council is my opportunity to leverage this experience for the community's benefit.

My background as a software engineer and experience fostering online communities equip me to seamlessly align with the Council's objectives and address the community's needs. I'm excited to leverage my experience for the greater benefit of the Mautic ecosystem.

How do you envision Mautic evolving in your tenure? What are your goals for Mautic?

In my tenure, I envision Mautic evolving as a leading open-source marketing platform renowned for its user-friendly documentation, thriving community, and impactful presence in Africa.

By improving documentation, we can make Mautic more accessible to users of all skill levels, ensuring they can fully leverage its capabilities. This involves not just technical updates but also creating user-friendly guides and tutorials.

Furthermore, I'm committed to strengthening community ties. Building a robust, supportive community is key to Mautic's growth. This includes fostering an environment where members can share ideas, collaborate on projects, and support each other. Outreach efforts will be focused on expanding our community, inviting new contributors and users, and promoting Mautic's benefits to a wider audience.

Ultimately, my goal is to see Mautic thrive as a community-driven platform where enhanced documentation aids the user experience and strong community ties drive innovation and growth

When you're not doing Mautic things or working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

When I'm not involved with Mautic activities or focusing on work, I love to unwind by reading books, movies and going to the gym.
