Willing to pay for Amazon SES API

  1. 6 months ago

Hi we are really frustrated now with the slow speed when sending emails via Amazon SES.
Is there anyone that can fix a working API for Mautic to send thru Amazon SES so we can send emails with great speed? We are actually willing to pay for anyone that can fix this in the next couple of weeks.

You could setup a smarthost using Postfix locally and use that to send to Amazon SES on your behalf. Because, if you do find a programmer to add SES API, it'll be broken by an update unless you contribute the code back and it's integrated in a future update. However, you might be able to get around that if it's possible the support can be built into a plugin .

  3. ok so setting up a postfix on the server and then letting it send to Amazon SES will increase the speed on the sending?
(Something like this then? http://www.tutdepot.com/configure-postfix-mailgun )

  4. You guys are allergic to documentation. It's right on Amazon's site. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/postfix.html

Nop not allergic to documentation thanks for the link :)
But my main question is if this will increase the speed on the sending? I do not want it to take 12+ hours for 100k emails to be finished when sending broadcasts, it will just irritate our new subscribers when they do not get their emails.

  6. No. It'll make it slower. (sarcasm)

LOL. Why would I make a suggestion in the first place to resolve your problem if I didn't think it would help your delivery speed problem? Just make sure your database and Mautic*/Postfix mail queues reside on fast disks.

These two babies listed below will help with tuning if needed.

But, if you must have access to the API, I know a programmer or two.

    Thanks MxyzptlkFishStix,
But I got a programmer on it now, we are going to program some more cool stuff on the API for some other tools that can come in handy for advance marketers that use Mautic.

  8. Hey,
    how slow is it exactly?
